Passionate about the advancement of the arts in his community, Chris Wybenga has worked with arts organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles for the past ten years. Currently serving as Associate Director of Development for the UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture, Wybenga facilitates ongoing relationships with major donors and plans all annual giving efforts supporting student scholarships and faculty research. Before his position at UCLA Arts, Chris held advancement positions at The Music Center in Los Angeles and San Francisco Opera. Wybenga also enjoys his position as Director of Operations for BAAM, Inc., a consulting company specializing in subscription and fundraising campaigns that work with San Francisco Ballet, San Francisco Symphony, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, American Conservatory Theater, and Berkeley Repertory Theatre.
Originally from Southern California, Chris grew up playing the cello and studied with Manon Robertshaw, Richard Treat, and Eileen Strang. He attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, earning his Bachelor of Music Degree in Cello Performance while studying with Bradley Mansell and Felix Wang. Wybenga also holds a Master of Nonprofit Administration degree from the University of San Francisco.
